Become Part of the Field Lane Team

Join Our Team

When you join our team at Field Lane, you will wear more than one hat. As well as a professional carer and support worker, you will also be a companion and an educator. You will be helping our clients to become an inclusive part of their communities. In your role as a carer, you will be helping them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.

It is a very rewarding job. Even though the role can be challenging at times, making a positive difference to someone’s life, and helping them become more independent brings a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. It’s a great career choice for those who enjoy a varied job role and lots of interaction with others.

It’s a responsible job but we support you throughout, providing training and helping you to develop more knowledge and understanding. There are also opportunities to progress further, for example taking a level 3 NVQ and the possibility of taking on a manager role.

Some of the best parts of the job are sharing new experiences with clients, creating new memories, and celebrating successes. You become a part of our clients’ lives – having fun together and gaining their trust. You’ll enable clients to overcome their fears and challenges whilst helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.

I'm a senior care & support worker. I had never worked in a care setting before. I came from a retail background, having worked at a local Co-op store so a completely different kettle of fish! I'm so glad that I took a step into the unknown. I love supporting our clients. It's a very rewarding and fulfilling job knowing that I am making a positive difference. Sometimes it doesn't feel like coming to work, it's a fun and supportive environment where I feel that I am genuinely enriching people's lives. I have learned so much in the time I have been here and am now working towards my NVQ in Health & Social Care.

I've worked as a care & support worker at Field Lane for six months. My manager and work colleagues have been very supportive. Our focus is on the residents, their needs, and their wellbeing. No two days are the same, which is just one of the reasons why I love my job.
