Jacky Owen

Director of Operations

Jacky started her career as a learning disability nurse. Jacky went on to qualify as a physiotherapy technician and worked in a special project for people with severe disabilities. After completing a diploma in counselling she worked in local government, managing and setting up projects for young people, mothers and babies, travellers and people with mental health issues.

From there she joined a large organisation where she managed a drug and alcohol residential service, alongside a bail unit for serious offenders and mother and baby units. After setting up a 40 bed new hostel for homeless single people in Brighton, Jacky joined Field Lane as a care manager in 2000. She was appointed as Director of Operations in 2007. Tony Ellmer

Head of Housing and Operational Support

Tony originally trained as a professional chef. He worked in a range of fine dining restaurants in Sussex. He left the restaurant trade in 2003, when he was appointed catering manager for Field Lane. Whilst in that role, Tony used his food and nutrition expertise to help improve the charity’s approach to nutrition.

Eight years after joining Field Lane, Tony qualified in Strategic Management and Leadership with the Chartered Management Institute and was promoted to Operations Manager. In that role his portfolio expanded to being responsible for improvement and compliance in all of the charity’s projects, not just in catering.

In 2015 Tony was appointed to Head of Housing and Operational Support Services. In this role, he is responsible for the development of Field Lane’s supported living services, as well as health & safety and maintenance of all the charities properties and services.

Tony enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He is a keen hiker, hill walker and mountain biker. He is regularly spotted trekking in the Surrey Downs with his dog and often video records his routes for others to share.
