I'm a senior care & support worker. I had never worked in a care setting before. I came from a retail background, having worked at a local Co-op store so a completely different kettle of fish! I'm so glad that I took a step into the unknown. I love supporting our clients. It's a very rewarding and fulfilling job knowing that I am making a positive difference. Sometimes it doesn't feel like coming to work, it's a fun and supportive environment where I feel that I am genuinely enriching people's lives. I have learned so much in the time I have been here and am now working towards my NVQ in Health & Social Care.
I've worked as a care & support worker at Field Lane for six months. My manager and work colleagues have been very supportive. Our focus is on the residents, their needs, and their wellbeing. No two days are the same, which is just one of the reasons why I love my job.
