What have you given up for Lent?

Like millions of Christians around the world, we are observing the festival of Lent. It’s a time when people decide to give up something they love, like chocolate or cake, or take up something helpful, like doing more chores around the house or something nice for friends and family.

Lent is the period of 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter, when Christians remember events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is an important time of refection and preparation for celebrating Jesus’s resurrection at Easter.

What have you given up for Lent? If you’ve given up buying that extra morning coffee treat, how about putting the money saved in a jar and donating it to Field Lane? Every donation, no matter the sum, makes a material difference to the lives of our clients.
