We're Celebrating Care Home Week

This week is Care Home Week, when we celebrate and thank the teams of carers who work in our care homes and other types of residential settings. It’s also a time to celebrate the residents, who give so much to their local communities.

At Field Lane we have 12 supported living projects, each providing a home for up to six adults with learning disabilities. Every client has their own ensuite bedroom, sharing a living room, kitchen and garden. Carers provide one-to-one support. They work in partnership with clients and their families to draw up individual care plans that map out the route to achieving our goal of enabling each client to lead as independent and fulfilling a life as possible.

We want our clients to be active within their local communities, taking part in community-based ventures. We believe that our approach works both ways, it not only benefits our clients, but also benefits the wider community in which they live.

We are proud of our client-centred model of social care. By keeping focused on our core purpose – to enable our clients to lead independent lives – we believe that communities, and society more broadly, are better served and more inclusive.
