A new wet room for Ailsa Road

Our Ailsa Road project is building a wet room – thanks to a generous donation from The Edward Gostling Foundation. A wet room, rather than a conventional bathroom, will enable our residents – many of whom have a physical as well as a learning disability – to be more independent. The day-to-day things most of us take for granted, like using a bathroom, can prove immensely difficult for many of our service users. Our aim is to constantly find ways to help all our residents to lead as normal a life as possible. Having a wet room installed will be another way of helping us to achieve this for our Ailsa Road residents.

The Edward Gostling Foundation gives grants to charities supporting people who have a disability or long-term illness.
