Donor buys life-saving equipment for Badgers

Badgers, Field Lane’s residential nursing home in Southend for people with profound learning and physical disabilities has just received a donation of £3,700 from the Fowler Smith & Jones Charitable Trust. The trust, based in Essex, mainly supports charities with community-level projects and those working with people with disabilities.

The money has been earmarked for buying much needed equipment for Badgers’ residents, including a defibrillator. As well as benefitting staff and residents, the defibrillator will also be available to the community who live in the local vicinity. The ambulance service will know it is on site and be able to use it in an emergency.
