We recently met up with new Field Lane trustee, Liam Corbett and asked about his new role with us.

When did you become a trustee and what is your main responsibility on the board?

I joined the board in February 2026. I have a professional background in estates and facilities management and wider leadership experience. I sit on the Quality and Development Committee and, whilst still in the infancy of my trusteeship, I have enjoyed learning more about Field Lane. I look forward to continuing to explore how I can best contribute and support the organisation.

Why did you choose Field Lane as the charity you wanted to get involved with?

Field Lane’s values immediately caught my eye and were a key reason for wanting to become involved. I firmly believe in the importance of supporting people to live enriched and fulfilling lives. I am passionate about what Field Lane does and feel privileged to play a small part in supporting our clients and the organisation’s ongoing success.

What has surprised you most?

I had the opportunity to visit one of Field Lane’s projects early in my trusteeship, and I was genuinely impressed by the passion, professionalism and dedication shown by the staff. It quickly became clear to me that people are at the heart of what makes Field Lane so special. Every time I meet people across the organisation, I am struck by the exceptional care, commitment and expertise they bring to their work.

What do you wish other people knew about Field Lane?

I would love to see Field Lane become better known. It is a remarkable organisation doing amazing work, and I believe more people would want to get involved if they had the opportunity to learn about its impact.

What is your hope for the future of the Field Lane, its clients and its staff?

I hope Field Lane continues to grow and improve more lives. I want every client to have the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life and be supported by staff whose dedication, compassion and professionalism shine through.
