“Everyone deserves the chance to live a full life, and Field Lane helps make that possible.”

We went to meet our new trustee, Konstantina Papadopoulou, and asked her joinimg the Field Lane Board of Trustees.

How long have you been a trustee for Field Lane?

I joined the Field Lane board as a trustee in February 2026. I'm still in the early stages of finding my feet, but I'm bringing my background in real estate services to bear, looking at how my experience can best serve Field Lane’s mission.

Why did you choose Field Lane as the charity you wanted to get involved with?

I have over 11 years’ experience working in global real estate at CBRE, in strategy and business transformation, and I had been looking for a way to channel my expertise into something with genuine social purpose. I am also a trustee of the Sophie Hayes Foundation, a charity that supports female survivors of human slavery in the UK. Perhaps more importantly, I have a personal interest in the care sector. I cared for a family member in his last years, and it really opened my eyes to the importance of good care. I believe that the standard of care is a major measure of a society’s standard of living. I feel that I can make a real and meaningful contribution to Field Lane.

What has surprised you most about working with Field Lane?

Visiting two Field Lane projects early on and meeting the staff made a deep impression on me. The level of dedication I witnessed was remarkable. It's one thing to read about an organisation's work, it's quite another to see it first-hand. That experience has only strengthened my commitment to making an impactful contribution to Field Lane.

What do you wish other people knew about Field Lane?

I wish more people knew that Field Lane exists and understood the difference it makes every day to people with learning disabilities. It is genuinely life-changing work and deserves a far wider audience.

What is your hope for the future of the Field Lane, its clients and its staff?

My hope is that Field Lane can grow and extend its reach into more parts of the country, so that more people with learning disabilities can benefit from the quality of support it provides. Everyone deserves the chance to live a full life, and Field Lane helps make that possible.
