Donors to our emergency appeal have been our lifeline

Moving into the next stage of the roadmap out of lockdown is cause for celebration as we look forward to all those things that we’ve missed over the past 16 months. But as we slowly ease out of lockdown, we’re also mindful of the generosity of our donors, who continued to support us through the pandemic, immediately responding to the emergency appeal we launched last year. With their ongoing donations we have been able to ensure a ready supply of PPE and related equipment, which has been critical in keeping our clients and the staff who care for them, safe and well.

We are taking a very cautious approach to lifting restrictions across our projects. Excited about the prospect of seeing and hugging family and friends, as well as going out and about, for example to shops, restaurants, and cinemas, we understand the very real risks that are still present.

Our priority is always to keep our clients safe and well. We’re looking forward to the future but keeping our feet firmly on the ground, taking careful steps as we follow the roadmap back to normal life.

We owe a debt of thanks to our wonderful donors, who have stayed with us throughout the crisis. We would not have survived without their unerring support. For that we are truly grateful.
