Albert Hunt grant helps with bath time at Ailsa Road

The Albert Hunt Trust, which offers grants to charities promoting physical and mental wellbeing, has donated £5,000 to our Ailsa Road project in Westcliff, Essex. The money will be used to purchase a ceiling hoist for the bathroom, which will enable clients with severe mobility issues to get in and out of the bath more easily and safely.

Ailsa Road is a supported living project and home for six people with range of disabilities, including epilepsy, mental health and behavioural issues, additional health needs and physical disability. Having extra facilities installed, such as a hoist, makes a huge difference to the lives of our residents. It enables them to enjoy those things that most of us take for granted, like taking a bath.
