Our gift from the ghost of Christmas past

The Old Vic Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol raised £115,000 for Field Lane last year. In recognition of the theatre and theatregoers’ overwhelming generosity, our CEO, Peter Calderbank presented the Artistic Director, Matthew Warchus with a painting of the original Ragged School, the foundation for the charity, set up by Andrew Provan, a London City Missioner, in the 1840s.

The artist is one of Field Lane’s own clients, a resident at Andrew Provan House, which provides safe accommodation and support to vulnerable young families.
