The social care sector is under severe strain as carers continue to support the most vulnerable members of society – in their homes or in residential settings. These frontline workers are critical to ensuring those most susceptible to Covid-19 stay safe. To do this we need to make sure that we have enough supplies of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other relevant supplies, such as thermometers, sanitisers, paper towels and toilet rolls, to enable our care teams to carry out their work without risking their own health.

We are dealing with an unpredictable, evolving situation. We need to make sure that no matter how long we remain in lockdown our clients and the teams of care workers supporting them remain safe and well cared for. The safety of our clients with learning disabilities, disadvantaged families and staff is paramount.

We have suspended most of our usual fundraising activities for now. Your donations to our appeal will make an enormous difference and enable us to continue providing vital support to clients and their families during this difficult time and beyond.
