Pfizer and dementia care |
Field Lane worked closely with Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals which sent a team of enthusiastic volunteers who worked over 40 man days on various garden projects at Dovers, in Reigate. From rearranging the sensory garden to creating a nature trail in the woodland area, such projects offer people with dementia a safe and well-appreciated outdoor space. Outdoor activities are also stress-reducing and provide positive stimulation to people living at Dovers. Vanessa Brett-Davey, Pfizer project leader says: “As long as we can make a difference to people’s lives at Dovers we have accomplished something worthwhile. I am sure that we will be back!” |
