Support us

As a charity that has sought to put people before profit since 1841 and whose services are not based on the individual’s ability to pay, it is currently becoming difficult for us to fund the extras such as our homeless children’s services or Learning Disabilities social clubs. Although 96% of our income is spent directly on services; lower investment returns, funding cutbacks and increased pressure on public spending have inevitably affected our hard pressed services.

We are therefore thankful to all who have offered their support in the past and all who we hope will choose to do so in the future.

You can help us to make a difference in the following ways;

Regular giving allows us to carefully plan ahead for the benefit of those in our care. The best way to arrange this is to ask your bank or building society to set up a “Standing Order” from your account so that money can be sent to us when it is most convenient for you. Even small amounts given in this way will help us maintain our current work and plan ahead to find new ways of making a real difference. Please fill in our Standing Order form and send it to your bank.

Please don’t forget to also send your completed Gift Aid form The Funding and Communications Manager, Field Lane, 2nd Floor, The Victoria Charity Centre, 11 Belgrave Road, London SW1V 1RB. Or email it to tofarrell@fieldlane.org.uk

Many employers now encourage their staff to give to charity and allow them to make donations through their salary at the end of each month. This method of giving is easy and tax efficient. We recommend that you speak to the Human Resources Department at your place of work to find out if they offer Payroll Giving.

“There were various ways I could have given to a charity e.g. street collections. However, as an employee with a monthly salary, making a donation to Field Lane via payroll has proved to be the most convenient. Apart from the 5 minutes it took to complete the initial registration and Gift Aid forms, I have not had to do anything else since becoming a supporter. It has proved to be a very easy way of giving to a charity and avoids having to worry about making arrangements for donations through other means that require more time and effort.”

A gift from the Bright Horizons Foundation has helped us to turn an empty lounge at Andrew Provan House into a communal space with an integrated soft play area. The area is proving popular with parents, children and staff, creating a social space where all can interact, share and learn.
