Services for older people
Field Lane has been providing services for older people since 1947 and in that time has moved from providing day care and welfare support to residential based care services.
Residential dementia care and nursing
We currently operate two care homes specifically for older people living with dementia and our high standards of care are recognised among national and specialist bodies. Our homes provide excellent care and support using progressive programmes and are staffed by caring, professional and highly qualified teams. Please see our brochure for an overview of our approach to dementia care.
Our homes, Dovers in Reigate, East Surrey and The Priory in West Worthing, West Sussex, offer care and support services carefully tailored to meet the individual needs of each person, while promoting choice, opportunity and independence. Our welcoming homes are registered for nursing care and qualified nurses provide 24 hour support within a positive approach to dementia to meet residents’ needs.
Respite and Day Care Services
Respite care and short trial stays are also available at both of our homes, while people living with dementia in nearby communities can also participate in ‘Daybreaks’, our varied day care activity schedule run in both homes.
Sheltered Accommodation
For older people who require suitable accommodation within an independent lifestyle, we offer 19 affordable flats for rent at Ashdown Close, situated in the grounds of our Dovers home in Reigate.
Training in care
Our experienced Training Manager ensures that our care staff trained to deliver the best care possible and 93% now have service related qualifications at NVQ level 2 or above. Our in house training is also made available to personnel from outside agencies working in related fields. Details of our approach to training and care standards can be found in our training brochure.
