Purpose built, Ashdown Close is independently located in the landscaped grounds of our Dovers care home in Reigate. The development has 19 self contained flats for older people who wish to live independently but with the reassurance that support is close at hand as and when required.

A fantastic neighbourhood
Jean has been living at Ashdown Close for nearly eight years and applied for a flat when she had problems with a difficult neighbour and started to feel very unhappy. When she was offered a flat by Field Lane she felt very relieved that she was to move to a peaceful and stimulating place that had a reasonable rent. Tenants are of different ages with different physical conditions.
All are very supportive of each other and take care of more vulnerable neighbours. With other tenants, Jean organises tea afternoons on Wednesdays and fundraising events such as raffles. The atmosphere is very good with tenants often planning holidays and outings together.
